FEMINISM: Penis Envy Notstanding

This post clearly struck a sensitive spot. Cathie Adams protests:

"I'm certainly not what you describe as a "fashionable woman." As a matter of fact, I think that women who hold professional careers as more vital than careers as wives and mothers, are members of the gaggling feminists that author Ann Coulter calls "stupid women." Women who vote for Gore because of "the kiss" are stupid women too. Women who vote for government largess in order to replace husbands' roles as providers and protectors are stupid women. And husbands who abdicate their responsibilities to the government are stupid men. Men and women are both at fault when they demand that the government fill in the gap left by their own irresponsible behavior. The issue isn't penis envy, it's who's responsible in an orderly society."

Being an academic who lives in an ivory tower, I learn a lot from WAISers with more worldy experience. Harry Guilbeau sends "Sitting Position Trumps":

"Small private airplanes have no restroom nor standing room to use one. Most pilots are familiar with what is called a "relief tube". This is a narrow funnel connected to a vacuum (negative pressure to you engineers) that allows one to mist the skies. Since the sitting position is the only option, women seem to have an easier time of this, and men don't have any advantage. Pilot supply stores sell this under the P.C. name of 'Jack and Jill '."
