IRAQ: Who's who?

I have an inquiry from Science about General Amir Al Saadi, the urbane scientific spokesman for the Saddam Hussein regime. Since he speaks fluent English, I assume he was educated in England, but apart from that I have found nothing. He is not in Who's Who in the Arab World. 1997-8. The index of names under Iraq lists some 200 names, but he is not among them. Did he suddenly become prominent when the row about WMD arose? One test of his standing would be to consult the famous list of playing cards. Does anyone have that list? The US would like to get hold of him. Has he given himself up? I assume the CIA has a bio of him. It is probably not made public since it must contain assessments of him.
