How is your name pronounced in a foreign language?
Ros Rogers, Jr. (who has spent much time in Brazil) tells how Mr. Ross is pronounced there:
"In Brasil, particularly in Rio, the letter "R" as the first letter of a word is pronounced as an"H". To friends and those I worked with I became simply "Hos".With the river pushboat crew I was working with out in Corumba, they gave me the English/American title of "Mister". As they ran it together, it became "Mistahos".
On my recent trip to "Hio" earlier this year, friends still called me "Hos".

I am sure that other WAISers have had similar experiences when they traveled around the world.Ronald Hilton - 09.19.03
