The Finnish and Hungarian languages. Basque

Hank Levin calls attention to "the linguistic similarities between Basque and Hungarian/Finnish and the theory that the Basques are Magyar tribes that descended from the North. Does this mean that the Basques and Japanese share a heritage? I doubt it, but it is intriguing". I had not heard this theory, but many others have been proposed and rejected, among them that the Basques are related to the Georgians of the Caucasus.
