That kindest and most gentle of people, Linda Nyquist corrects, me:

"Do not say that the struggle is useless, do you hear what I'm say'in, ya know what I mean?".
If I hear one more person on TV (usually a person earning several million dollars annually from some sorts of sports contract) saying this, I will seriously consider buying a weapon."
My comment: I know how you feel, Linda, but don't join the gun lobby. Join the fight to raise our literacy standards. It is amazing how many students cannot speak in coherent sentences and fill in gaps with repeated "you know"s. Say not the struggle naught availeth!
