G. K. Chesterton

John Gehl recalls G. K Chesterton's remark "The thing I hate about an argument is that it always interrupts a discussion."

Chesteron (1874-1936) is dead, so I cannot invite him to join WAIS. He joined the Catholic Church in 1922 under the influence of Father John O'Connor, the model for the Father Brown of his mystery stories. Chesterton was always arguing, but he avoided arguments.
