The Pope and Les Robinson

     Les Robinson writes:
     I never dreamed I would get to hobnob with such an august presence as that of His Holiness, even in someone else's dream. I am humbled by this chance encounter and have resolved to make every effort to promote the cause of peace among Czechs and Germans during our stay in Prague and Berlin and during our Elbe River cruise. The Balkans, the Middle East and Dagestan are where those efforts may be needed right now, but, peace-loving as I am, I have no wish to venture there.
     Reply from the Pope: It was an honor for me to meet you. Since I sm accustomed to apologizing, I want to apologize to you for reading the newspaper at breakfast instead of accepting your invitation to converse.
