SOS! Save Our Souls!
Support for my crusade to save good television gains support. From New York, Hank Levin reports:
In New York City we receive 70 cable channels. I can only stand to watch the History Channel, Biography, Sports, Public Television, C-Span, and some of the old movie channels. Even for these one must be selective, so I probably average only about 3-4 hours a week. The Infomercials, cartoons, gratuitous violence, banal comedy, soap operas (of which the telenovelas are some of the worst), music videos, and other trash seem to dominate the small screen. I am glad that you are speaking out about this.
