The WorldPaper

     We welcome to WAIS Peter J.Orne, an editor of WorldPaper, published in Boston, a supplement printed in six languages on five continents. Peter was at Stanford, where he was associated with Murray Luck, the founder of "Annual Reviews", whom he reveres. He was also associated with Stanford anthropologist William Durham, editor of the Annual Review of Anthropology.
     He has sent me a long and interesting letter about WorldPaper, together with some copies of the December 1999 issue. It is thoughtful and informative. Since they may not know it, I am sending them to the Knight Fellows in the Stanford Department of Communication, who represent the best of journalism around the globe. WAIS hopes to establish a working relationship with the correspondents of WorldPaper around the globe, and we welcome Peter Orne.
