The latest issue of the excellent World Press Review features a series of articles on the Israeli-Palestine crisis. The title of the series on the cover is "Fearful symmetry. Israelis and Palestinians locked in a vicious cycle". The title shows that the editor Alice Chasan, who wrote the editorial "Three languages: Hebrew, Arabic and Death", knows her English classics.The articles are grim reading. I am more than ever convinced that the recognition of Israel was a mistake, even from the viewpoint of the Jews. It may lead to World War III. We constantly recommend World Press Review because from it we learn how the world views the world.
