MEXICO: Education and the Mexican people
Elias Castillo amswers Linda Nyquist's request for more about anti-bullfighting groups:
Prof. Carlos Garcia Gutierrez, an elderly, retired and famed mining engineer in the city of Chihuahua besides being an animal protection activist, was my contact with the anti-bullfighting group some years ago. He earned his Master's Degree at Stanford University. Try getting in touch with him through Ireyes@uach.mx (Dr. I. Reyes Cortes, with the Facultad de Ingenieria at the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua). I met Prof. Garcia while on assignment for the National Geographic Magazine. He is a wonderful, compassionate person. Just a guess, but you might also try the veterinarian's office of the Mexico City Zoo or the zoo's general office and see if they can put you in touch with an Animal Humane Society group in DF."
