MEXICO: Red Cross affiliation

Linda Nyquist says: "I can't argue with Raśl Escalante's facts, and I appreciate all of the information from him regarding the Red Cross. I do want to add, however, that several years ago I was teaching a course on "Health Care in Mexico" in the Polanco Red Cross Hospital (Mexico City). The physician administrator made a point of stating that the Mexican Red Cross was in no way affiliated with the International Red Cross". My guess is that this is just another example of nationalism, but perhaps he said that when the Mexican Red Cross was being investigated, possibly by the International Red Cross.
