New Zealand



     Miles Seeley, of Scottish origin, expresses the conviction of many WAISers, who hesitated to speak frankly for fear of being punished with a bag-pipes serenade. He says:
     Ancient Celts in NZ is probably spurious, but it is just the sort of wild tale we Scots love. Like the history of my clan (MacDonell) the legends will probably grow. My wife accuses me of either exaggerating or lying half the time when I tell stories, and that's probably true, but my fellow Celts will recognize and even admire the trait. For you historians and truth-seekers it must be a nightmare.
