Jews in China

Tim Brown sends this footnote to "Jews in China": "When we were in Israel, there was a small kibbutz of Chinese Jews from the Harbin region. I recall visiting it once, briefly. Most of its members had some clearly oriental features mixed with some European ones. I understood that they were the descendants of Russian refugees of the civil war/early revolutionary period plus intermarriage, and am sorry now I didn't pay more attention to this fascinating historical note".
