Our postings show that there is a disconnect between the picture Americans have of their country and that common in the outside world, Russians have a similar problem, Cameron Sawyer presented from Moscow the pro-Putin view. From Buenos Aires, where there is a large Russian, mostly Jewish population, Hernán Grimberg reports : "Putin is part of one of the most -if not the most- powerful mafia in Russia. Russia is all about mafias. Just as we are supporters of one or the other football club, or political party, the Russians belong or are supporters of one or the other mafia. This is what I heard from Russian immigrants in Buenos Aires, so it is probably not very accurate. It seems that this is what some people think about Putin in Russia".
