SPAIN: Another ETA Murder

Yesterday I asked why in Zaragoza a boy was stabbed to death by another boy, apparently for saying something like "¡Viva España!" I seem to have received an answer shortly thereafter when in the same city ETA killed Manuel Jiménez Abad, president of the Partido Popular in Aragon. Again, the victim was a generally respected, decent, democratic individual. All Spain was horrified, even the Basque Nationalists, except for EH, ETA's political front, whose leader, a nasty young man, made a violent speech. The cult of violence among young men around the world has been growing ominously.
