GITMO Prisoners

Randy Black writes: Despite signing pledges to renounce violence, at least seven former prisoners at GITMO who were released have returned to terrorism. Two are dead in fighting in Afghanistan and a third has been recaptured in a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan. Abut 146 detainees have been released from GITMO and 57 others have been transferred to the custody of their home government in Pakistan, Russia, Morocco, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden and Denmark, according to the Associate Press (10/18/04). One of those released murdered a judge as he left his mosque in Afghanistan. Another was linked to the beheading of a Chinese engineer in Afghanistan. Stupid prisoner story: Several at GITMO said they want to be released so that they can return to the fight. Lots of luck.
