US: Action against Iraq

Arab specialist Miles Seeley says: "While I often agree with General Sullivan's thoughts, this time I must ask why he thinks the threat of terrorism will be lessened if we get Saddam. He is not the sponsor of Al Quaida, and the US Administration has had a devil of a time proving he is even marginally involved with them. Saddam is not very religious, nor is his Ba'ath party, except when it makes good propaganda. In fact, it is instructive to read the interview Mu'ammer Qaddafi gave, in which he says he fights terrorists because Al Quaida has targetted him, too. And Mu'ammer has always said he is a very conservative Moslem".
