UNITED STATES: Diplomacy by assassination--Chile
About the assassination of President Allende, Miles Seeley says, I think correctly: "Unless the classification system has changed markedly since my time, Secretary Albright could ask for and receive the relevant papers. Her clearances would give her access to almost all information in CIA files, and certainly those from 1973. I suspect she meant that since the information was still classified, she could not speak about it."
