The Border with Mexico

However admirable The Economist may be, its uncritical support for migration into the United States is short-sighted. The excellent Millennium Special Edition speaks of a taco belt stretching from San Francisco through Houston over to Florida. It simply tells the Anglos not to worry. Yet the same issue speaks of Mexico as the country with the greatest exodus of population. There is no similar situation anywhere in the world. We have reason to worry about the unity of the United States and the undivided loyalty of its citizens.
