Internment of Italians

     There has been so much talk about the internment of Japanese in World War II that we forget about the Italians. The statement that Italians were interned in World War II left me puzzled. Maxine Thomas writes:
     It is my understanding that they escaped that fate because it would have involved the father of Joe DiMaggio, who was a national hero at that time.
     My comment: I think she is right. It looks as though American justice is a baseball fan. Justice of supposed to be blind, weighing evidence, not playing hookey to watch a baseball game. This is juvenile, or rather judicial delinquency.
