UNITED STATES: Eisenhower and the murder of Lumumba
Miles Seeley knew Truman and he may have know Eisenhower. He writes:"If I understand this correctly, a 1975 interview with this man Johnson alleges that 15 years earlier Eisenhower ordered the assassination of Lumumba; and this allegation "accidentally" came to light just recently. Pardon my cynical, arched-eyebrow look. The allegation is so contrary to the way Eisenhower operated, I would give it zero credibility unless the notes taken at the original 1960 meeting were preserved and authenticated."
