US: National Defense University Foundation

Bob Gard says: "The National Defense University Foundation raises funds for university programs and activities not included in appropriated funds, not for the Pentagon". RH: Bob presumably means that the National Defense University is not part of the Pentagon, but it is still part of the military complex.
