US Politics: (No) Beating (about the) Bush
Phyllis Gardner says that her friend Hank Greely "is perfect in both his physical appearance and in his understated approach to the duplicitous and inadequate Bush (II) administration". Phyllis is a distinguished cardiologist, so the second part of her statement has no academic merit. I apologize to Hank for having in my ignorance advised him to go on a diet. I also apologize to Phyllis. She I believe treats hearts with drugs, so, thinking in Spanish (farmacéutico), I referred to her as a pharmacist. Sidney Raffel, MD, takes pleasure in recalling this substantive mistake. Beware, Sidney, I am just waiting for you to slip on a verbal banana skin.
