War with Iraq?
Gordon Jackson says: "Re the hypothesis of personal vengeance, at the end on one of his speeches outlining Saddam's evil character and deeds, President Bush ad-libbed "and that's the guy who tried to kill my daddy." Perhaps one reason President Bush is having difficulty mustering support for an attack is that he and his administration assert that Saddam is a threat without providing solid evidence in the form of attacks on other countries since the Gulf War or the supplying of weapons to terrorists. Saddam is obviously a potential threat, as is anyone who is armed. If we corner him, the prophecy that he will use weapons of mass destruction is likely to be self-fulfilling".Ronald Hilton - 2/25/03
