George Sassoon explains: All workers have social security payments deducted from their wages at source. But the present government has increased the payments to such an extent that they are now regarded as an additional concealed income tax.
RH: I wonder if this is a fair criticism. In the US the Social Security System faces bankruptcy because of the changing population pattern, and this problem must exist in Europe too.
