John Lukacs, DEMOCRACY AND POPULISM

WAISer conservatives like Christopher Jones may seek solace in Democracy and Populism, Fear and Hatred, by John Lukacs, a Hungarian Catholic historian who came to this country at the end of World War II.  He argues that what Americans call democracy is really populism, and fails to take into account human nature and original sin.  The typical presidential election rally confirms this view.

RH:  It might be fun, but it would be unWAIS.
