Snakes

Mike Sullivan, who lives in North Carolina, wrote an impassioned eulogy of his mountain cur, and reported seeing a snake in its mouth: When I arrived, I saw it was a coiled, copperhead rattle snake.  Gene Franklin says: Probably Mike Sullivan made a typo mistake. but the copperhead  is a pit viper with no rattles.

RH: My ignorance of herpetology prevents my doing more than agree with Gene Franklin.  However, we must not diminish the glory of Mike's cur, so let's let it believe it was a copperhead rattle snake.
