The USSR ordered the Pope's assassination in 1981. Miles Seeley comments:All very interesting, if true. But one question is unanswered: why did the KGB order the assassination? What was in it for the USSR? RH: Clearly because the Polish dissidents used him as a a rallying point. Then the question is: Did the communist government of Poland initiate this scheme? Does Ed Jajko have any thoughts on this?
