Norman Tutorow, THE GOVERNOR. THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF LELAND STANFORD
We salute the appearance of Norman E. Tuturow, THE GOVERNOR .The Life and Legacy of LELAND STANFORD, A California Colossus (Arthur H. Clark, 2004, 2 vols, pp.1,232). We plan to review it, but that will take.time. It is a detailed, superbly documented account of a remarkable man- It should appeal to all interested in Stanford University and the history of California and the US. Norman is now embarking on a biography of the Governor's wife, Jane. Norman is a WAISer, albeit on sabbatical while he worked on this book
