UNITED STATES: Armed forces and the Iraq war
Randy Black writes: Count me among the WAISers who are interested in where Ms. Negrin came up with the premise that “over 30% of the military seem to be thinking…” that Iraq was wrong. The follow-up is the question: “Which military?” You have the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and then there are the active duty, retired, reserves (enlisted and National Guard) and others such as those serving in Texas, Hawaii and other stateside locales versus those in Germany, Korea or Iraq who may have various opinions. The closest thing I could find was a USA Today poll of about 4,000 military which found that four out of five planned to vote for Bush in the poll that was taken in late September.
